I firmly believe the educational system fails a huge number of kids.  By its very nature the system creates conformists.  People who are ready for “jobs”.  But what about those of us who are not suited to traditional school?  The rebels, people with supposed ADHD and a myriad other issues that don’t let them fit into the traditional mould?

Perhaps unsurprisingly many entrepreneurs fall into this category.  People the school system often gave up on.  People who’ve gone on the create empires employing tens, hundreds, thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of others.

I found this TED talk by Cameron Herold really interesting.  How he and his siblings were trained from almost birth to become entrepreneurs.  Some of the buying and selling he did from the age of seven is truly remarkable.  As are the values instilled by his Father.

I think you’ll get a lot out of watching this.
