I was recently asked how to psych yourself up for cold calls – something most people dread. Let’s be honest, picking up the phone and talking to strangers isn’t fun for most of us.

So, here’s how I reframe it:

A stranger is just someone who could become a client… or even a friend. But that will never happen unless you start a conversation.

Looking back, the vast majority of my clients, and even some great friendships started with a simple call. None of that would have happened if I hadn’t picked up the phone.

If you want real success, you need to reach out and offer value. Yes, great marketing attracts people to you. But if you want control over your pipeline, you must be proactive.

Not just through email or DMs – pick up the phone.
