No, no, no, no, no, no… yes!
Got this from Anthony Iannarino which illustrates persistence…
“I called a contact every Monday morning only to be shut down. After calling him one day, he told me that I must have called him one million times, but my index card said otherwise. It was only seventy-six times. The contact told me that if I would drive over to his office, he would give me an opportunity to provide what he needed. I jumped in my car, drove to his office, and we signed a contract.”
How many no’s would you take before you gave up? One, two, three?
I’ve had people I’ve spoken to for years, just keeping in touch before they became clients.
The longest was eleven years between them first coming to a seminar and then becoming a client when the time was right.
Now obviously those are outliers but it illustrates the point that persistence wins.
But persistence without a strategy behind it is a fool’s errand.
Which is why we emphasize there are three solid foundations to predictably winning high-value clients.
Your underlying strategy, your marketing, and sales systems. All three have to work in harmony.
